Always return to my go-to spot in Twizel. The friendly staff helped me find a car service on my first visit. This place has it all, from free Wi-Fi to a picnic area. Can't wait to come back for Easter!

Loved staying in a giant hanger! Fancy plane next door. Comfy bed, nice views, and a shared kitchen. Perfect for pretending I'm a jet-setting millionaire.
Oh, just seeing planes take off and land all day. Such a bother.

The hotel had an amazing setting with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. The large bay windows provided a fantastic vantage point to take in the scenery. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the shower was possibly the best I've ever experienced in a hotel/lodge. The location was also great, being close to the town centre and a beautiful lake.
The hallway of the hotel was quite cold during my stay. However, this was a minor issue as the rest of the hotel had excellent heating to keep guests warm and cozy.

If you're looking for a great place to stay while exploring the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, this accommodation is definitely worth considering. the location is stunning, with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and a tranquil lake nearby. the rooms are spacious and well-furnished, ensuring a comfortable stay. the facilities, including a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, provide convenience.
One aspect that could be improved is the limited dining options within close proximity to the accommodation.

The location of this lodge is absolutely stunning. Being just a couple of kilometers away from Twizel and having beautiful Lake Pukaki close by with its mesmerizing blue water and breathtaking view of snow-capped mountains, it was the perfect place to spend my Christmas. The rooms were spacious and had separate entrances, and the furniture was brand new. The beds were super comfortable with just the right amount of firmness, and the linens, towels, and toiletries provided were of high quality. The fully equipped kitchen and laundry room were a bonus, and I loved the guest room on the second floor with its panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, especially during sunset. It was a quiet, beautiful, and secure accommodation that offered great value for money.
Honestly, there was nothing I could find fault with during my stay at this lodge. The experience was flawless, and I had an incredible time enjoying the stunning surroundings, comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities.

The room at Pukaki Air Lodge was spacious and provided easy access to the common kitchen and outdoor veranda. It was perfect for relaxing on a hot summer evening or stargazing at night. The shared kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and made it convenient for guests to prepare their meals. The room had a cozy and comfortable ambiance with a flat-screen TV and SKY channels for entertainment. The ensuite bathroom was clean and provided complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.
Personally, I found the shared kitchen a bit crowded at times. However, I understand that others may still appreciate its convenience.

As youngsters, we loved the unique experience of staying in an airplane hangar. the panoramic views, the proximity to aerial activities, and the thrill of watching glider airplanes take off and land from our balcony were absolutely incredible. the staff, especially the friendly old couple who owned the lodge, made us feel welcome and shared fascinating stories of their skydiving and airplane adventures. the lodge was clean and tidy, and the breakfast provided was delicious. it was a one-of-a-kind experience that we'll never forget.
Felt like visiting family, no complaints.

I had an exceptional stay at a lodge near Twizel with breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with modern furniture. The highlight was enjoying a drink in the guest lounge while watching planes take off. The owners, Grant and Mary, made my experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this lodge for anyone visiting the South Island of New Zealand.
